Neutralizing Antibody? Discover tests targeting the receptor binding domain of the spike protein

The spike protein is part of the #coronavirus. The role of the spike is that it is the part of the virus that docks into that host cell, and as a result, spreads the infection. The significance of antibodies targeting the receptor-binding domain (RBD) of the spike protein, is that these antibodies are believed to be neutralizing. It is also the reason that the major vaccine developers are targeting this same protein.
